Religious Education classes are almost full. If you have not enrolled your child in RE classes, please drop by the office as soon as possible. There are limited spaces available in sacrament classes especially. St. Francis's class are already full.
When the bell rings to begin RE on Sunday at 10:15 am, the Kindergarten through 4th grade classes will quickly move to the Sanctuary for choir with Miss Cunningham. You will have a great time worshiping God with fun music this year.

There will be no First Holy Eucharist class this year. Instead, we will have a one year First Reconciliation class. We are separating First Reconciliation and First Holy Eucharist into a 2 year program. This will provide more time to go over the necessary material for both sacraments.

First Reconciliation is a  one-year class.

  • A Baptismal record is required before the student attends class next week.
  • The student must have attended RE at least 1 year prior to 2nd Grade (this is called Sacramental Preparation)
  • After completing First Reconciliation, students will enter First Holy Eucharist class next year.
  • There is a 3rd grade class for those that had First Holy Eucharist last year.

The new Religious Education year begins Sunday, August 25th and will be bring some changes. First Reconciliation and First Holy Eucharist will now be independent classes. Second Grade will enter First Reconciliation class.  Third grade had First Holy Eucharist last April so they will enter regular 3rd grade RE class this year. There will be a new First Holy Eucharist class in August of 2020.

There is no Confirmation 1 class this year. Last year's class enters their second year of Confirmation and will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on April 26th at 9 am Mass. Confirmation 1 and 2 classes alternate each year.

All Sacrament classes require at least one year of attendance in regular RE before they can attend a Sacrament class (i.e. First Reconciliation, First Holy Eucharist, Confirmation 1). So, if you plan on attending Confirmation 1 or First Reconciliation next year, sign up and attend classes this year!

New this year! Middle School and High School classes will begin in the Lord Rock room at 10:15 am each week to start RE off with a youth activity and a gift card drawing. Must be present and on time to participate! Classes begin immediately after the drawing at 10:30.

The Giving Box is accepting donations of Cereal and Macaroni & Cheese for the month of August.  Look for the large boxes by the church office and the East door.  Your generosity helps us feed the hungry, clothe the poor, comfort the weary of Enid, OK.

With the go-live of the new St. Gregory the Great website, we are able to offer to the community a directory of services which are provided by the parishioners of St. Francis, St. Gregory, and St. Michael's.  Check out the link under "Outreach".

If you wish to be added to the Services Directory, simply complete the online form or print the paper form.  We will screen all submissions and at them to the list under the appropriate service category.

Are you or someone you know interested in becoming Catholic?

Maybe you have a non-Catholic friend, co-worker or family member who has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic or just wants to learn more about the Catholic faith. If so, we have a wonderful opportunity for you and them here at St. Gregory's.  The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process of education, prayer, discernment and community building that we enter into with people interested in becoming Catholic.

If you are interested in receiving more information about  RCIA process please contact the parish office at 580-233-4589.  All are welcome!

Come early and pray the rosary with us on Sundays.  We pray for all intentions we have in our hearts, including peace in our homeland and the world, as well as healing for the Catholic Church. Thanks to Dennis Hladik for leading the rosary before Mass. This week's rosary leader is Fred Mochon. Anyone that would like to lead the rosary but would feel more comfortable teaming up with someone your first time, call and we would be happy to lead with you,   Rita 580 -237-1798 or Judy 580-541-5795

Please consider spending an intimate hour with Jesus during Adoration on Thursdays, between 9:30am - 2:30pm.  A sign up sheet can be found on the table by the parish office.  The sign-up represents the current week, and we ask that you arrive a few minutes before your scheduled time.
